The International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS), a non-state actor (NSA) in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO), is pleased to announce the opening of an executive leadership position within the organization. The Director of Global Educational Programs will serve a key role in providing strategic guidance and oversight to the breadth of IFFS global education activities. These programs include workshops, international symposia, regional meetings, and ART consulting programs which are structured to meet the needs of local participants for whom these activities are designed. All educational activities are designed with the IFFS mission in mind: to stimulate research, disseminate educational information, and promote the superior clinical care of patients in all aspects of reproductive and fertility medicine.
Over 65 national fertility societies are affiliated with IFFS. It is estimated over 50,000 specialists worldwide in the areas of fertility and human reproduction are represented under the IFFS umbrella. IFFS recently began offering individual membership to broaden the opportunity to share in the knowledge and expertise that IFFS provides, in areas that may not be represented by a national or regional society. This points to exciting growth within the organization, and the need for a strong leader in the position of Director of Global Educational Programs.
