IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC AND COVID-19

IFFS Global Workshops Series

A key element of the IFFS educational program are our annual workshops held in all regions, with a focus on serving lower- and middle-income countries. Workshops are targeted educational activities designed for the full range of reproductive healthcare professionals, including physicians, embryologists, nurses, counselors and researchers. Each activity is tailored to meet the needs of an event’s specific audience and is applicable to experienced professionals and trainees alike. Workshops may range in size from 50-600 attendees depending on the educational need, program objectives, and location. Depending on factors specific to the target audience, a workshop can be a half-day forum or a multi-day curriculum course. IFFS has experience and expertise in delivering education in a variety of formats.

2020 Workshops

At this time, IFFS and its partner societies have had to cancel or postpone several planned workshops due to the impact of the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. These decisions were made with the health and safety of attendees in mind, and we look forward to being able to offer workshops again in the future.

How to Apply

Member societies and associated societies may apply by submitting a letter of inquiry to the IFFS Secretariat at secretariat@IFFSreproduction.org. You will be provided with an application which will be reviewed by the IFFS Education Committee. Contact us if you need assistance in completing your application, or if you would like guidance in developing a preliminary program. If the application is approved, international faculty will be selected to participate in the workshop based on the expertise required.

Generally IFFS will provide international faculty with expertise in your program area(s) and will support their travel expenses to the workshop. The local society assumes the other expenses associated with the activity, typically including local accommodation and meals for faculty (if practical). The IFFS encourages the local society to offer travel/educational grants to students and trainees to participate in the workshop, and IFFS may provide limited financial support for such a grant program. IFFS will not be responsible to cover any budget deficit of the workshop.
